A good story left untold. Drawing on her own experiences as a scuba diver, she concocted a tale of a hair stylist, Lydia Gold, who travels to a Caribbean island with her boyfriend, Abe. Her first novel, Till the Fat Lady Sings, is a comedy set on a university campus.
It's told in two pov's and the other one is John 'Mack' Mackenna, a local thirty-one year old man who has come back from a tour in Iraq to work as a volunteer EMT and a driving instructor. Plotting for me is like planning a long car trip, with key stops flagged ahead of time, but a lot of room left for me to say, 'Hey, look, the world's biggest stuffed owl collection, let's do a little detour and check it out.

Although it was favorably reviewed, the book did not sell well, and Kwitney's second novel failed to find a publisher. I picked up this volume at a used-book store, hoping to find a diamond in the rough -- a romance steeped in hydrocarbons. This book is pretty much about independence and healthy dependence, about learning to give up the ghosts of the past and about learning that not everything goes according to plan.
Maya is a fun kid and her words are believable. I noted the ages because through the story you can tell which one is older and a little more sure of themselves but also because it is brought up a few times. Alisa Kwitney would Car guys like me are definitely not the target audience for this book.

Hobbies and other interests: In this case, the main character is Kat Miner, an actress who was once a hot property in the soap-opera world.
The author again built her story around a single woman living in Manhattan. I have saved it just in case I feel like reading a mindless romance one of these days.
I did finish reading it though, so it certainly wasn't the worst book I've ever read, and it wasn't the best.

And I found the first couple chapters difficult to get into. But for the meantime, I have given up all hope on this book.

I pretty much just call for an open casting call, and all the people in my head file past until I have my hero and heroine. She began working on the type of novel she liked to read—full of action, romance, and humor.
I kept asking myself if it was necessary. Scuba diving, horseback riding, hiking and rudimentary guitar playing. Would I enjoy it?
Mack and Zoe have a flirtation and it deepens as he becomes her chauffeur and then her driving instructor. It just seemed to drag on. Vertigo specializes in dark fantasy stories that frequently have mature themes.
