The Internet news blogs Kottke  and BoingBoing  posted about the comic, citing Twitter user revdancatt's estimation that a printed version of the comic would be 46 feet wide: Reception Explain Xkcd The website Explain xkcd  was registered on August 10th,which provides thorough explanations of the subject matter discussed in each xkcd comic.
