Kutsvaga mudiwa flirting with danger, on a knife edge

Flirting With Danger (Samantha Jellicoe, #1) by Suzanne Enoch

So,I guess what I'm trying to say is that it kind of falls somewhere between both the spectrums. Sam and Rick deserve better!

In fact I'm gonna mark this as one of favorites just because I loved Sam and totally want to be Watson to her Sherlock. I liked that she didn't turn into a damsel in distress and waited for Rick to save the day when she could instead be climbing walls and what not by herself instead.

But honestly this one's starting to grown on me. She was kick ass! If I could change one thing about this book, It would be? I mean come on!

Flirting With Danger

Got a bit worried at first as I started down at the cheesy purple cover but after see that 2 of my GR friends had given this a 5 and a recommendation,I buckled up and just decided to get through with it. NOT the rest of this series cover though. But,with these awesome characters,I couldn't resist!

In fact,I'm almost done with Book 2 with just the climax left to read which I've purposely kept aside to finish reviewing this one, first Now about the genre,I just wanted mention that this book is NOT a pure chic-lite book but more of a contemporary read with quick fun banter and a solid mystery plot Note: And also because the real reason I took so long to pick this read up was because of the cover.

Each and every character in this book played an important role in the plot and I' pretty sure I'm going to be seeing all of them again throughout the series.

Would I recommend this read? I love the fact, that even though she met Rick and starts to kind of view spoiler [work with him to figure out the whole deal in relation to the theft. I didn't really like it before. I've read a couple of books in the past that had 1-Dimensional characters just for the sake of filling up pages.

Tough Guise 2: Violence, Manhood & Pop Culture

But then again if I had to pick a favorite between the two I would pick Sam because, obviously. Though I'm pretty Rick wouldn't get a kick outta that. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that this review might be kind of biased because Book 2 is kind of working it's magic on me right now.

Don't you think it's time we got a Female version of James Bond already?

See a Problem?

Will I be reading the sequel? So you can see why I didn't expect to strike Gold with this series To be honest,I choose this read with zero expectations and almost blindly. In fact overall,I would probably rate this a 4 Stars I hadn't been so surprised by the characters.

Enoch's HRs and kind of added this one out of pure curiosity a while ago and just decided to pick this one out of the blue yesterday since nothing else on my TBR sounded interesting at that particular moment.
